Lest you be wise in your own conceits, I want you to understand this mystery, brethren: a hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the full number of Gentiles come in, and then all Israel will be saved; as it is written,
THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL BANISH UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB; AND THIS WILL BE MY COVENANT WITH THEM WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS.
As regards the gospel, they are enemies of God, for your sake; but as regards HIS election, they are BELOVED, for the sake of their forefathers. For THE GIFTS AND THE CALL OF GOD ARE IRREVOCABLE.
For God has consigned all men to disobedience, that He may have mercy upon all.
Romans 11:25-32
This pretty well tells it all except for Zion (the 3rd or New Age!).
Yet among the MATURE we do impart WISDOM, although it is not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away; but we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, a MYSTERY, which God decreed before the ages for our glorification.
God has revealed to us through the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:7-10
Paul tells us in this very chapter how wisdom is revealed by the speaking in spiritual languages and then interpreting them (see RSV footnotes).
For what person knows a man’s thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God. 13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, INTERPRETING SPIRITUAL TRUTHS IN A SPIRITUAL LANGUAGE.
1 Corinthians 2:11-13
This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
1 Corinthians 4:1
I don't know about you, but this is the way I want to be remembered!
If I have prophetic powers, and understand all MYSTERIES and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not LOVE, I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:2
For one who speaks in a spiritual language SPEAKS NOT TO MEN BUT TO GOD; for no one understands him, but he utters MYSTERIES IN THE SPIRIT.
1 Corinthians 14:2
For your sake, INTERPRET THAT MYSTERY SO YOU WILL LEARN SOMETHING.
Lo! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at THE LAST TRUMPET. The trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52
I have heard so many Christians as well as ministers tell how when we die, we will go to heaven and be with the Master, rejoicing and carrying on with family and friends. Actually, we go to a place of profound quietness guarded by angels where we will sleep until the resurrection. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days.
2 Esdras 7:95
For He has made known to us in all wisdom and insight the mystery of His will, according to His purpose which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time: to unite all things in Him, things in Heaven and things on Earth.
Ephesians 1:9-10
A cult church was built on this scripture, claiming that all creation including Satan and his angels will ultimately be saved. I have had two very good friends that have believed the devil’s lie in this regard.
When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the MYSTERY of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to His Holy Apostles and Prophets by the Spirit; that is, how the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same Body, and partakers of the promise in Christ through the Gospel.
Ephesians 3:4–6
Romans 11 and Ephesians 2 tell it all; how we, wild olive shoots have been grafted into the cultivated Olive Tree (Israel) and are now Spiritual Israelites.
For he is not a real Jew who is one outwardly, nor is true circumcision something external and physical. He is a Jew who is one inwardly, and real circumcision is a matter of the heart, Spiritual, not literal.
Romans 2:28–29
All who have been born from above are Spiritual Jews! (Israel is God’s Heritage, not Christianity!)
In that day Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, 25 whom the Lord of hosts has blessed, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and ISRAEL MY HERITAGE.”
To make all men see what is the plan of the MYSTERY, hidden in God for ages, who created all things, that THROUGH THE CHURCH (called out ones) the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS IN HEAVENLY PLACES.
Ephesians 3:9–10
Satan was kicked out of the 3rd heaven, now he has to listen in on us!
The knowledge of God’s MYSTERY, of Christ, in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge!
Colossians 2:2–3
As John Wright Follette said: He is God’s Treasure Chest.
For the MYSTERY of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains it will do so until He is out of the way.
2 Thessalonians 2:7
Most all theologians agree that He is the Holy Spirit. But notice that He is not taken up to heaven, He just steps to the side! There is no “Rapture” here!
Great indeed, we confess, is the MYSTERY OF OUR RELIGION: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by Angels, preached among the nations, trusted in by the world and taken up to glory.
1 Timothy 3:16
Paul might have mentioned His suffering!
As for the MYSTERY of the seven Stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden Lampstands, the seven Stars are the Angels of the seven Churches.
Revelation 1:20
The SEVEN lampstands go back as far as the Tabernacle of Shiloh and were of pure gold. They had no Spiritual meaning for Israel. This puts the Church in the Tabernacle with Israel even then! There are SEVEN Messianic Communities. The word Church is plural (called out ONES), it does not refer to the “SEVEN Churches in Turkey”! They are only allegories.
But that in the day of the trumpet call to be sounded by the SEVENTH Angel, the MYSTERY OF GOD, as He announced to His servants the Prophets, should be fulfilled.
Revelation 10:7
This speaks of the 1st Resurrection. The seventh trumpet call is the last trumpet call!
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the archangel’s call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first;
1 Thessalonians 4:16
Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign for ever and ever.” And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying,
“We give thanks to thee, Lord God Almighty, who art and who wast, that thou hast taken thy great power and begun to reign. The nations raged, but thy wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, for rewarding thy servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear thy name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.”
Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple; and there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.
