We were chosen before the foundation of the world to be God’s sons through Messiah, which was God’s purpose and will, also to unite all things on earth and in heaven in Him (Ephesians 1:4-10).
All those who have trusted in Messiah were sealed with the Holy Spirit which is the guarantee of our inheritance until we possess it (Ephesians 1:13-14).
We should pray to our Heavenly Father for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the knowledge of Him and the hope to which He has called us (Ephesians 1:17-19).
God has made His Son sit at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion and every name that has been named in this age and those to come; and made Him the head of the church, which is His body (Ephesians 1:20-22).
God, who is merciful, through unmerited favor, has raised us up with Messiah to sit in heavenly places, that in the coming ages He may show us unmeasurable grace and kindness towards us in the Messiah (Ephesians 2:6-10).
We were separated from Messiah, the commonwealth of Israel, covenants of promise, and without God in this world! But now, by the blood of Messiah, He has made both Jew and Gentile one, abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and ordinances, creating in Himself one new man, reconciling both Jew and Gentile to God in one body through the cross. Through Him, we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. We are now fellow citizens with the Jews and members of the household of God, built on the prophets and the apostles, the cornerstone being the Messiah, in whom we are a holy temple in Messiah, a dwelling place for God in the Spirit (Ephesians 2:12-22)!
Note: The Jews will become Messianic (Christians) in the Kingdom Age. Remember: The Jews are God’s people; we are merely the adopted children of God (Romans 11:17-32)!
...the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things; that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 3:9-10
Satan can no longer speak to God as he did in the past. He and his angels have been cast out of the third heaven (Luke 10:18).
At present he is fighting with Michael and his angels in the great expanse of God’s domain, who will eventually cast them all to earth during the outpouring of God’s wrath (Revelation 12:7-17).
In the meantime, the principalities and powers mentioned in Ephesians 6:12 will have to obtain their information from the church—the Messianic community!
There is just one body and one spirit… one hope… one master, one faith, one baptism and one God and Father of us all.
Ephesians 4:4-6
The body is you and me, the hope is salvation, the master is Messiah, the faith is in God, the baptism is in the Spirit, and the God and Father of us all is Yahweh.
When He ascended on high He led a host out of captivity (the first fruit resurrection)( Matthew 27:51-53; Revelation 14).
And He gave gifts to men... Ephesians 4:8
These are authoritative, ministerial (dorean) gifts to men only!
And His gifts were: that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors, and teachers.
Ephesians 4:11
These gifts were given to the church so the saints would mature and not be led into strange and demonic doctrines. Both men and women share in the nine charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit. These gifts are for both self-edification and the edification of the church (1 Corinthians 14:2-4, 1 Corinthians 14:26-32).
Wives, be subject to your husbands, as to the master. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, as the church is subject to Christ so let the wives be subject to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.
Ephesians 5:22-25
For this reason, a man shall leave his mother and father and be joined to his wife and the two shall become one! This is a great mystery, and I take it to be Christ and the church. And let the wife respect her husband.
Ephesians 5:31-33
We do not contend against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against world rulers of this present darkness, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places!
Ephesians 6:12-13
This includes all the demonic forces on earth and all the Satanic angelic forces in the heavens—God’s domain.
Because of all this Satanic power, Paul tells us we must put on the whole armor of God: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 6:14-18).
You cannot pray in the Holy Spirit unless you are baptized in the Holy Spirit. So get baptized! The word of God may be found in the Old Covenant scriptures quoted by prophets, scribes, seers, and priests. In the New: quotations from Messiah, the apostolic letters, and all revelation.
