The 70th Week of Daniel or the Day of the Lord

Preceding the 70th week of Daniel, also known as the “Day of the Lord,” or “The Great Tribulation Period,” there will be two signs:

The rebellion or apostasy of the church: This is where the “religious Christians” turn against God due to the pressure put upon them by the government of that time and the fact they must go through great tribulation, whereas their “Church” (shepherds, leaders) told them they would be raptured before those events took place(2 Thessalonians 2:1-4)!

The Man of Lawlessness, the Son of Perdition, must be revealed, the literal offspring of Satan; the cohabitation of Satan with a human female. He must take his place in the temple of God proclaiming himself to be God! He is called the first beast (Revelation 13:1-2).

And at the latter end of their rule, when the transgressors have reached their full measure, a king of bold countenance, one who understands riddles, shall arise. His power shall be great, and he shall cause fearful destruction, and shall succeed in what he does, and destroy mighty men and the people of the saints. By his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he shall magnify himself. Without warning he shall destroy many; and he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes; but, by no human hand, he shall be broken.

Daniel 8:23-25

He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant; but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.
And the king shall do according to his will; he shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every God, and shall speak astonishing things against the God of Gods. He shall prosper till the indignation is accomplished; for what is determined shall be done. He shall give no heed to the Gods of his fathers, or to the one beloved by women; he shall not give heed to any other God, for he shall magnify himself above all.

Daniel 11:32, 36-37

He comes with his armies destroying Jerusalem and her sanctuary. He makes a strong covenant with many (10 Kings or Powers) for seven years (Daniel 9:26; Luke 21:20-24).

…and concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up and before which three of them fell, the horn which had eyes and a mouth that spoke great things, and which seemed greater than its fellows. As I looked, this horn made war with the saints, and prevailed over them.

Daniel 7:20-21

As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings shall arise, and another shall arise after them; he shall be different from the former ones, and shall put down three kings. He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, two times, and half a time.

Daniel 7:24-25

He shall honor the God of fortresses instead of these; a God whom his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. He shall deal with the strongest fortresses by the help of a foreign God; those who acknowledge him he shall magnify with honor. He shall make them rulers over many and shall divide the land for a price.

Daniel 11:38-39

And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months; it opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven. Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.

Revelation 13:5-7

He comes talking peace, deceiving many, giving heed to only those forsaking the Holy Covenant. The rule of the beast will continue for seven years; however, he exercises his authority for only three and one half of those years. He is called the “Son of Perdition.” He (1st Beast) is the Abomination that makes desolate.

Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to the one that spoke, “For how long is the vision concerning the continual burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled under foot?” And he said to him, “For two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary shall be restored to its rightful state.”

Daniel 8:13-14

And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week; and for half of the week he shall cause sacrifice and offering to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.

Daniel 9:27

For ships of Kittim shall come against him, and he shall be afraid and withdraw, and shall turn back and be enraged and take action against the holy covenant. He shall turn back and give heed to those who forsake the holy covenant. Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the continual burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.
And he shall pitch his palatial tents between the sea and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, with none to help him.

Daniel 11:30-31, 45

So when you see the desolating sacrilege spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand)…

Matthew 24:15

For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. Then if any one says to you, ‘Lo, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it...

Matthew 24:21-28

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven... and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Matthew 24:29-31

And then the lawless one will be revealed, and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by his appearing and his coming.

2 Thessalonians 2:8

One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth followed the beast with wonder. Men worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”

Revelation 13:3-4

There was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to earth.

Revelation 6:12-13

Christ’s second coming to Israel is to rule and reign for 1,000 years over the earth with His Bride. When His feet rest on the Mount of Olives, they will look upon Him whom they have pierced and ask Him where he received His wounds, and He shall say, “in the household of my friends.” There shall be mourning in Zion, and a nation shall be born in a day! “For all Israel shall be saved.” (Revelation 20:4-6; Romans 11:25-29; Ezekiel 37:11-14; Zechariah 13:6)

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain. And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years...

Revelation 20:2-15

This age closes with the great and final Resurrection, and the Books are opened. All are judged; some to salvation, others to damnation. This is called the Great White Throne Judgment. The following age opens with the New Heavens and New Earth (Revelation 21:1).
