The Way, The Truth, The Life

By Dr. Bud Denner

This age, the Kingdom Age and the New Age

I realize this is a divine entanglement! I will do my best to explain these three ages in their proper sequence with the spiritual wisdom and revelation that God has given me. No one has a corner on the truth or complete knowledge thereof.

The present age rests on the prophecy given to the prophet Daniel when the world was ruled by Darius, a Mede, king of the Chaldeans.

Seventy weeks of years are decreed concerning your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy one. Know therefore and understand the going forth of the word to restore and rebuild Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, (Nehemiah) a prince, there shall be seven weeks, then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time. And after sixty-two weeks, an anointed one (Messiah) shall be cut off, and shall have nothing; and the people of the prince (the beast or anti-Christ) who is to come, shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood (armies of destruction) and to the end there shall be war; desolations are decreed. And he (the beast) shall make a strong covenant with many (the ten rulers of the world) for one week (seven years); and for half of that week (3½ years) he (the beast) shall cause sacrifices and offerings to cease; and upon the wings of abominations shall come one who makes desolate (Satan himself), until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.

Daniel 9:24–27

The seventy weeks of years add up to 490 years. Ezra and Zerubbabel were prophets and scribes of the Most High and were working on the temple and sanctuary in Jerusalem with the help of Cyrus, king of Persia, who decreed that Jerusalem should be rebuilt. Forty-nine years after the decree went forth, Nehemiah, an anointed prince of the Most High, rebuilt the wall in fifty-two days. For the next four hundred and thirty-four years they continued to rebuild the city with great difficulty. Four hundred and eighty-three years after the decree to rebuild Jerusalem went forth (69 weeks of years) the Messiah was crucified. This left one week or seven years to fulfill the seventy weeks of years prophesied by Daniel—commonly known as Daniel’s seventieth week.

The Bible is so full of information concerning those last seven years, we know it pertains to the end of this age. Daniel chapters 7, 8, and 11 as well as Revelation 12 and 13 show us the seven years are divided into two 3½-year periods.

The first period is the reign of the beast. He rules and reigns for 42 months, putting to death and imprisoning everyone that opposes him; not worshiping him as God Almighty. He destroys Jews, Christians, all religions, cults, atheists, etc. He is the first of the four horsemen to ride and conquer in Revelation 6, and the three other horsemen ride with him: terrorism, famine, and death. All those that refuse to take his name or number on their wrist or forehead are not able to buy or sell, therefore are trampled and destroyed by his three horsemen! This period is called the Great Tribulation. During this time, the rest of the world will be eating, drinking, getting married, and having a great time under his rule. See Luke 17:27, Revelation 6:1–9, Daniel 7:21,25, and Matthew 24:21–22.

This all occurs before the “Appearance” (parousia) of the Messiah. Messiah comes mid-week with Michael and his angels to destroy the first beast (anti-Christ) who had ruled the earth for 42 months (2 Thessalonians 2:8, Revelation 13:5). Messiah throws Satan and his angels down to earth (Revelation 12:7–9, Revelation 12:13–14).

He seals the Jews that must go through the outpouring of God’s wrath unscathed (Revelation 7:1–8, Revelation 12:13–16).

And finally, the angels gather the bride (elect) and take them before the throne of God, where they will serve Him day and night within the temple (Revelation 7:13–17).

Now we begin the second period or the last 3½ years. It is introduced to us by the last paragraph in Revelation 6:

Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him that is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand before it?

Revelation 6:15-16

This period is commonly called “The Day of the Lord” or “Jacob’s Trouble.” It is actually “The Day of God’s Wrath”! The seven angels of God orchestrate this phenomenon—payback time for all those that took the mark of the beast and cursed God and His Son. At the end of this period, three foul spirits leave the mouth of the beast, the false prophet, and Satan to go forth and gather the wicked nations to do battle at Armageddon. Messiah comes with His armies of heaven and slays the enemy until His garments are drenched with blood. On His robe is written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He and His bride will now rule what’s left of these wicked nations with a rod of iron until He puts His last enemy under His feet. See Revelation 8–11, Revelation 15–16, and Revelation 19:11–16

Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those that had been beheaded for their testimony to Yahshua and the word of God and who had not worshiped the beast nor its image... They came to life and reigned with Messiah 1000 years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the 1000 years were ended. This is the first resurrection, over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and Messiah and reign with Him 1000 years.

Revelation 20:4–6

...in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

1 Corinthians 15:52

but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God, as he announced to his servants the prophets, should be fulfilled.

And I was told, “You must again prophesy about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.”

Revelation 10:7,11

The beast and false prophet were thrown in the lake of fire, and Satan will be chained for 1000 years (Revelation 19:20–21, Revelation 20:2–3).

This ends the present age.

We now move to the millennium, commonly known as the “Kingdom Age.” This is the thousand-year age where Christ and His bride will rule the wicked nations with a “rod of iron” (Revelation 19:15; Psalm 2:6–9).

The bride or elect are taken out of the “Church” or Kingdom of Heaven at the appearance (not the literal coming) of the Bridegroom (Messiah) midweek (Matthew 25:1–13).

Let us rejoice and exult and give Him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to be clothed with fine linen, bright and pure. For the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. Blessed are those that are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Revelation 19:7–9

At least two things should be very apparent here: first, you better keep Spirit-filled with the Holy Spirit; and second, brideship rests on a work level, not a gift level! Salvation is a gift, brideship a reward! Crowns are not given as souvenirs—they are won! Read about the high calling of God (Philippians 3:11–15).

Near the beginning of the Kingdom Age there occurs another resurrection referred to as the dry bone resurrection. This is the resurrection of the entire house of Israel (Ezekiel 37:4–14).

This is the new, new covenant (Romans 11:26–27; Hebrews 8:10; Jeremiah 31:31–34).

They (Jews) will look on Him whom they have pierced (Zechariah 12:10) and ask Him where He got the wounds on His back.

He will say: “In the house of my friends!” (Zechariah 13:6).

Near the end of the millennium, Satan will be released to again attack Israel. He will incite Gog of the land of Magog. He will advance coming on like a storm covering the land and say:

I will go up against the land of unwalled villages; I will fall upon the quiet people who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having no bars or gates; to seize spoil and carry off plunder.

But God says:

All the men that are on the face of the earth shall quake at My presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground. I will summon every kind of terror against Gog, says Yahweh God. Every man’s sword will be against his brother. With pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into judgment with him, and I will rain upon him and his hordes and the many peoples that are with him, torrential rains and hailstones, fire and brimstone. So I will show My greatness and My holiness and make Myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.

Ezekiel 38:20–23

The Kingdom Age closes with a final resurrection—the great white throne judgment.

Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it; from His presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead in it, death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire; and if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:11–15

This is not just the judgment of the damned, but perhaps those saved through fire.

If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

1 Corinthians 3:14–15

Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years.

Revelation 20:4–6

And we must not forget all those saved during the 1000-year age.
