From the Greek, Aggelos. They are fourth dimensional celestial men whether Godly or Satanic. They eat, sleep and have the power of procreation (see subject on Nephilim). In the third dimension they look like ordinary man. That is why Heb. 13:2 says:
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers for thereby some have entertained Angels unawares.
Hebrews 13:2
Luke 20:36 says:
…but those who are accounted worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, for they cannot die any more, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
Luke 20:35-36
Notice, Angels never had wings.
Many who read Zech. 5:5-11, do not understand that the two women with wind in their wings lifting up the basket with a woman in it between heaven and earth, is an allegory, symbolizing the woman as wickedness being covered and taken away.
The only winged creatures we find in God’s creation outside of birds are the Seraphim and Cherubim, which are not men but “Living Creatures” (Genesis 19:1-9, Genesis 32:24-30; Jude 1:6). See subject on the Living Creatures.
