This Devil’s lie started as far back as the Garden of Eden when Satan speaking through the Serpent said to Eve, “You will not die, for God knows when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Eve was created in physical and Spiritual perfection, but when she saw the fruit, (LUST of the eye) desired to taste it, (LUST of the flesh) and desired it to make one wise (PRIDE of life) she ate and shared it with someone, her husband. Isn’t that sweet, we all love to share our sin with someone else! She Died! Both spiritually and physically; and took Adam with her!

She had eternal life and she lost it, just as Adam and Satan did.

For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the Heavenly gift and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the Powers of the Age to Come if they then commit Apostasy, since they crucify the Son of God on their own account and hold him up to contempt.
