Isaiah 52 and 53
Yahweh has bared His holy arm before the eyes of the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. Many were astonished at Him, His appearance was so marred, beyond human resemblance, and His form beyond the sons of men.
Isaiah 52:10–14
Surely He has borne our disease and carried our pain, crushed by God and tortured. But He was crushed for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities, and upon Him was laid the chastisement that made us whole; with His scars we are healed.
Yet it pleased God to crush Messiah by disease, to see if His soul would offer itself in restitution, to see if the purpose of God might prosper in His hand. My Servant shall make many to be accounted righteous, and He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide His spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul to death.
Isaiah 53:10–12
If Messiah did not accept the cup that was full of sin and disease, death of the soul, the second death, we would not have LIFE FOR AN AGE OF AGES (Eternal Life). But God in His mercy gave Him this charge:
This is why my Heavenly Father loves Me: I lay down My life (ANIMAL SOUL-PSUCHE gk), that I may pick it up again. No man takes it from Me, I lay it down of My own accord. I have the power to lay it down and I have the power to take it up again; this charge I have received from My Father.
John 10:17–18
Childhood and Youth of Messiah
Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of Yahweh been revealed? He (Messiah), grew up before Him (Yahweh), as a young plant, like a ROOT OUT OF PARCHED GROUND. He had NO FORM OR COMLINESS that we should look at Him, and NO BEAUTY that we should desire Him. He was DESPISED AND REJECTED by men, A MAN OF PAIN AND AQUAINTED WITH DISEASE; and one from whom men HIDE THEIR FACES, He was DESPISED AND DISREGARDED.
Isaiah 53:1–3
Such was the childhood and youth of Messiah.
Therefore he had to be made like his brethren in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make expiation for the sins of the people. For because he himself has suffered and been tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
Hebrews 2:17–18
