Jew, comes from the term Judaism, which is the Jewish Religion. Israel is the name given to Jacob by God when Jacob prevailed. It is a nation today and it is with Israel that we are concerned. The very fact that you are a Christian today, is due to God hardening heart of the Jew, blinding his eyes, and deafening his ears to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
As it is written, “God gave them (Jews) a spirit of stupor, eyes that should not see and ears that should not hear, down to this very day.”
Romans 11:8
Go to this people, and say,
You shall indeed hear but never understand,
and you shall indeed see but never perceive.
For this people’s heart has grown dull,
and their ears are heavy of hearing,
and their eyes they have closed;
lest they should perceive with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their heart,
and turn for me to heal them.Let it be known to you then that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.
Acts 28:26-28
He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart,
John 12:40
lest they should see with their eyes and perceive with their heart,
and turn for me to heal them.
With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which says:
‘You shall indeed hear but never understand,
Matthew 13:14-15
and you shall indeed see but never perceive.
For this people’s heart has grown dull,
and their ears are heavy of hearing,
and their eyes they have closed,
lest they should perceive with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their heart,
and turn for me to heal them.’
Make the heart of this people fat,
Isaiah 6:10
and their ears heavy,
and shut their eyes;
lest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their hearts,
and turn and be healed.
Have they stumbled so as to fall? Absolutely not! They have been hardened for a season, until the full number of Gentiles come in, and then all Israel will be saved (Romans 11:11, 25-27).
As regards the Gospel they are enemies of God, for your sake, but as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.
Romans 11:28-31
Remember, God has always dealt with Israel as a nation, never as an individual as you and I. We are merely adopted children of God!
Romans 11:17-21
Just as you were once disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, so they have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may receive mercy. For God has consigned all men to disobedience that he may have mercy upon all.
Romans 11:30-32
At Christ’s second coming—not the Rapture—but His literal arrival in Israel, at the end of this age and the beginning of the millennium for a 1000-year reign with His bride, there will be a resurrection of the entire house of Israel!
So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone and as I looked there were sinews on them and flesh had come upon them. Then He said to me: “Prophesy to the Spirit…to breathe upon these slain that they may live.” So I prophesied as I was commanded and the Spirit came into them and they lived and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great host. Then He said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel.” Thus says Jehovah God: “Behold, I will open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people, and I will bring you home to the land of Israel.”
Ezekiel 37:7-12
And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of compassion and supplication, so that, when they look on Him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over Him, as one weeps over a first born.
Zechariah 12:10
On that day there will be a fountain opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to cleanse them from sin and uncleanliness.
Zechariah 13:1
And if anyone asks Him, “What are these wounds on your back?” He will say: “The wounds I received in the house of my friends.”
Zechariah 13:6
At the beginning of the last seven years of this dispensation commonly called the “Day of the Lord”:
“I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women ravished; half of the city shall go into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations as when He fights in a day of battle.”
Zechariah 14:2-3
Then the Lord your God will come, and all the holy ones with Him.
Zechariah 14:5,9,11
And the Lord will become King over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be one and His name one.
And it (Jerusalem) shall be inhabited, for there shall be no more curse; Jerusalem shall dwell in security.
It is important to understand that Israel falls under a different covenant than the Christian! They will be saved (futuristic) without your help! Some will come in for Brideship, most will not. Unless you are led by the Spirit to witness to them, leave them alone! God is not “stuck in the mud” waiting for you to come along and help Him out. Shotgun witnessing has done more harm than good for Christianity! Children of God with good intentions but no spiritual training, perhaps even directed by a religious spirit (demon), will continue to drive away many!
