In all probability, the most important thing in a Christian’s life is prayer! This is a condensed outline on prayer in its three important levels: ASK and ye shall receive, SEEK and ye shall find, KNOCK and it shall be opened for you.

Each of these levels is progressive and is entirely dependent on your heart attitude.

1. Ask: (Gift Level)

Want (Deomai), Ask (Erotao), and Wish (Proseuchomai)

A. There is no carrying on at this level. All that you receive, you merely ask for.
B. This is the level of baby Christians.
C. This is also called the “Babe in Christ Level.”
D. This is merely the foundation and not the structure in a Christian’s life!
E. Milk instead of meat and emotionalism instead of spiritualism. The danger lies in being content with this level.
F. This is the “Coming into Christ” level. Diagrammatically expressed by a Christmas Tree to some Christians, but the Cross to those with spiritual enlightenment.

2. Seek: (Revelation Level)

Beseech (Deesis)

A. There is Labor involved at this level.
B. You Seek and it is Revealed to you.
C. In this level you have left the hand (but not thrown away) the primary principles of Christianity: Repentance, Salvation, Baptisms, the Gifts of the Spirit, etc. that form Your Foundation, but now you must erect the stucture that must undergo testing by fire!
D. This is the “Coming into Christ” level.

That their hearts may be encouraged as they are knit together in love, to have all the riches of assured understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, of Christ, in whom are HID all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:2-3

E. On this Level "The Treasure Chest", We find Wisdom, Understanding and Spiritual Treasure in Christ through Seeking.
F. Also at this level of Spiritual Development must go Longsuffering, Trial, Tribulation, and Victory!
G. On this Level you must become Christ-centric and not ego-centric!
H. Spiritual Law: You cannot make God do anything! But you can release God to do something.

3. Knock: (Intercessory Level)

To pour out (Proseuche)

This is the highest Level in the House of Prayer. It is reached by few. You are no longer Asking, nor Seeking but but under the Guidance, Quickening and Wisdom of the Holy Spirit, your are constantly Knocking at the Door to the Heart of God. There can be many reasons for knocking, provided they are placed there by the Holy Spirit! The Door is opened if in his will!
