Wives are to be loved while husbands are to be respected:
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her…Even so husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself…however, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Ephesians 5:25, 28, 33
But wives are to be subject to their husbands as to Christ, for the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is head of the Church.
Ephesians 5:22-23
Likewise you wives, be submissive to your husbands, so that some, though they do not obey the word, may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives…as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are now her children if you do right and let nothing terrify you.
1 Peter 3:1,6
A woman should learn in silence with all submissiveness! NO WOMAN SHOULD TEACH OR HAVE AUTHORITY OVER MAN! For Adam was formed first THEN Eve, and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became the transgressor.
1 Timothy 2:11-14
The wife does not rule over her own body but the husband does The husband does not rule over his own body but the wife does. Do not refuse one another (sexual intercourse) except for a season of prayer then come together again.
1 Corinthians 7:4-5
The wife should not separate from her husband, but if she does, she should remain single and the husband should not divorce his wife.
1 Corinthians 7:10-11
Paul failed to mention that Jesus said: a husband or wife may divorce and remarry when adultery is the problem (Matthew 19:9).
An unbelieving husband is consecrated (set apart) through his wife and the unbelieving wife is consecrated (set apart) through her husband OTHERWISE YOUR CHILDREN WOULD BE IMPURE OR UNCLEAN. As it is they are HOLY (set apart unto God).
1 Corinthians 7:14
If any man thinks he is not behaving properly towards his betrothed, if his passions grow strong and it HAS TO BE, let him do as HE WISHES; but let them marry (IT IS NO SIN!)
1 Corinthians 7:36
For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and the Glory of God: but woman is the Glory of Man.
1 Corinthians 11:7
Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
1 Corinthians 11:9
But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ and the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.
1 Corinthians 11:3
Thus a married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives; but if her husband dies she is discharged from the law concerning the husband. Accordingly, she will be called an ADULTERESS if she lives with another man while her husband is still alive. But if her husband dies she is free from the law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.
Romans 7:2-3
Again we must qualify the above verses Paul wrote with the word of Christ:
For I say to you, whoever divorces his wife except for unchastity (adultery) and marries another, commits adultery.
Matthew 19:9
Finally:
Let not yours (wives) be the outward adorning with braiding of the hair, decoration of gold and wearing of robes, but let it be the Hidden Person of the heart with the imperishable jewel of a gentle and a quiet spirit WHICH IN GodS SIGHT IS VERY PRECIOUS.
1 Peter 3:3-4
Paul says in first Corinthians:
The women should keep silence in the Churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says. If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in Church. WHAT! DID THE WORD OF God ORIGINATE WITH YOU, OR ARE YOU THE ONLY ONES IT HAS REACHED? If anyone thinks he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge THAT WHAT I AM WRITING TO YOU IS A COMMAND OF THE LORD. IF ANYONE DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THIS, HE IS NOT RECOGNIZED!
1 Corinthians 14:34-38
Bid the older women likewise to be reverent in behavior, not to be slanderers, or slaves to drink; They are to teach what is good, and train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be sensible, chaste, domestic, kind and submissive to their husbands, that the word of God may not be discredited, Likewise urge the younger men to control themselves.
Titus 2:2-6
Although a woman is not given the authoritative ministries of Christ, she is given the Gifts of the Spirit and may exercise these gifts at the Spirit’s discretion in the Church!
